have not been to langkawi for a while. what lenses did you use for the shots here?
actually i'm just a budget photographer, so i just got a 18-55mm kit lens,50mm f1.8 and an very very old tokina 135mm f2.8 prime lens...but most of my photos are taken with 50mm and 135mm, cause i'm not really like to use the kit lens....hehe....

I'm a very budget photographer as well... bought i kinda splurged onto the 17-85mm when i bought my DSLR, and now i've just invested in a 50mm.
Using a 400D, but still trying to get hold of the lighting and stuff...
i think you can get a lot of nice landscape photo with your 17-85mm right?hehe...and you got yourself a good camera man!i wanna buy it but i don't have enough money last time,so just buy a 350d,hehe...and i'm self studying the ligtning too, hope to get some adivise from you next time:-)
